" Your greatest self has been waiting your whole life; don’t make it wait any longer." Everyday, we always say to ourselves, "today, I am going to do…" But how do you feel at the end of the day when you didn’t do it? Bummed, sad, overwhelmed? This is something I typically ask myself everyday- and I try very hard to do that 1 thing I was set out to do. Now this blog question has me thinking about somethings in the past that I know that I have not done.
So the 3 things I would like to change are the following and how I plan to change it:
- motivating myself to working out and being active
- going to training appointments, bootcamps, daily walks, rollerblading
- eating a more healthy, balanced diet – journaling what I eat -getting my husband to do the same 2 above – any ideas on this one??

I have to say I am very impressed with everyone’s hard work! It is very motivating to see everyone work their ass off…literally!
Good job everyone!

Today I feel sore in the shoulders already–will be icing and soaking in a hot bath before bed! I love the pain because I know I am getting a quality workout–today I think I did about 50 clapping pushups!! Coach Joe Rocks!!! I love the pace of the workouts and classes because it forces me to be responsible for what I am getting out of it–I feel more confident in what I already know and am still learning some new tricks!! Very good…

I joined the gym and started doing boot camps with the same goal in mind as everyone else… losing weight. However, I have a few difficulties to overcome. I had never been to a gym before (well, except the high school gym in PE class almost 10 years ago) so to say that I was intimidated would be putting it mildly. I was so scared of the gym! Other than walking my dogs I have not purposely done any physical exercise, and felt pretty good about my weight. Well, until I started a full time, sit-at-a-desk-most-of-the-day office job. I am responsible for Marketing new food items to distributors and restaurants. I love my job.. I get to eat new items all the time

Unfortunately I have gained over 30 pounds in less than a year. Boot camps have already helped me feel better on the inside.
Another difficulty I had was horrible back pain and I was going to the chiropractor up to 3 times a week. My near sedentary lifestyle was fatiguing my muscles. I also am a sucker for junk food. So, I have also started to eat better at home, and of course I need to continue to work on that. I even said good bye to the french onion dip in my fridge that has been a main stay in the house.
I want to build muscle, after having such horrible back pain I have become such a wuss, and can barely lift anything. Furthermore, I was put on weight restrictions back in January and was scared to lift anything at all. I look forward to seeing continued results, and have actually I have already had family notice some muscle definition and how much my energy level has increased. Even better I have noticed less pain in my back and more of the "good" pain associated with exercising. Bootcamps are the best way to exercise and are such a great motivator to get fit. I actually miss bootcamps when I have other commitments.

After missing classes due to work and vacation… I found myself missing bootcamp. I did not like to work-out but I am finding myself actually enjoying bootcamp (After the class is over). I am already seeing some results. I can’t wait for the next 3 months!

So far, I have really been enjoying this program! I am a bit sore in all the right places–and the classes are challenging enough to keep me moving forward which is something I was afraid was going to end–so far, so good=)

1. Portion control… I have always just ate things without even thinking about portion size. Smaller meals more often is my new goal!
2. Water~Water~Water!!! No more soda for me.
3. Consistancy! I always seem to start off strong while working out & then get bored. Bootcamp changes things up each time which is what I need to keep my butt going!

The one thing that I have really noticed since joining bootcamp recently is that my endurance has increased. I remember joining a bootcamp back in November and I could barely finish most of the stations. Wall jumps were the worst for me. They seem pretty easy now, but at that time I really struggled with them. Now I am finding most things a little easier to do. However, I still struggle with clapping push-ups. They are difficult!!!
Overall, I would say that I am happy with the way camp is going and I look forward to seeing the final results.

So far the first couple of weeks of boot camp have been intense. At the end of class my muscles are defiantly tired and sore. I can tell since I’ve started boot camp I’ve been having more energy. I’ve noticed I don’t seem so much out of breath at the end of class as I did when I first started.
My personal goals that I set for myself when I started the 90 day bootcamp program are to lose 30 pounds and to be able to bench my own body weight.
I hope with the help of Joe pushing me, and me watching my diet, I’ll reach my goal by the end of the 90 days.
Wish me luck!

When I started bootcamp I was doing it for the wrong reasons. It started of a fun place to see my friends in a healthy environment and not in front of nachos and beer. I later figured out that I really enjoyed the extra push and structure that Joe gives us. Some exercises at the beginning didn’t make sense, but now I realize it was about core strength and stability. My clients have noticed results not even knowing I’m doing anything extra like bootcamp. Several clients have commented on my arms and how toned they are… that has never happened before! I can’t wait to see and feel what 90 days is going to do not only physically but mentally.
Thanks coach J!
