Fitness Trends in ’09

boot_camp_camoI recently did a brief interview about the popularity of Boot Camp group exercise classes for an article in The Forum. I thought I would give a little more of my thoughts about boot camps.

There is no doubt that these type of classes are an emerging trend in the fitness industry. It seems like every health club these days are offering a boot camp class in one way or another. Let me tell you, as a personal trainer, conducting boot camps are at the top of my list for services to offer.

The camaraderie that develops between boot campers is really hard to develop in any other exercise environment. Campers come to class knowing there is no room for slack. They know that they are going to sweat, their muscles are going to burn, and they are going to walk out of class with a shoulders held high from the work they just accomplished.

Most of my boot campers would consider themselves beginner or intermediate exercisers and have the common goal of fat loss. Ask any of my campers and I’m willing to bet that they were hesitant of joining a boot camp, but ask them now… they would say they wouldn’t do anything but boot camps!

So any of you looking to lose weight, get toned, or simply get in shape, check out FM BootCamps! You won’t be let down.
